Data Center Electrical Commissioning Provider (Remote with Travel)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Electrical Commissioning Provider to join our team, working internally with commissioning specialists and externally with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. This is a 100% remote position with 50-70% travel (local and national).

Key Responsibilities:
-
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients (verbally and in writing)
-
Conduct commissioning design reviews (OPR, BOD, plans, specifications)
-
Review submittals and shop drawings
-
Perform site observation visits and prepare reports
-
Develop and execute test scripts (Level 2 IVCs, Level 4 FPTs, Level 5 ISTs)
-
Witness and validate onsite testing
-
Manage resolution of commissioning issues
-
Work with live electrical systems, including:
-
Three-phase AC power
-
DC power systems
-
MV gear, generators, switchgear, UPS, STS, PDUs
-
Fire alarm systems
-
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Strong engineering knowledge in the built environment
-
Experience in hyperscale data center design/construction
-
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to analyze technical information and develop solutions
-
Familiarity with:
-
Equipment startup/commissioning
-
LOTO procedures
-
Sequence of Operations (SOO) development
-
Functional test script creation
-
-
Ability to interpret construction drawings
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of MEP construction/commissioning experience
-
Professional Engineering license (a plus)
-
OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety (required)
-
OSHA 30-hour (preferred)
-
Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (a plus)

NFPA 70E certification (required)
-
Building commissioning certification (preferred)
-
Field experience (preferred)
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 30 lbs, climb ladders/stairs
Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary Range: $90,000 – $140,000 USD/year (based on experience, skills, and location)
