Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for data centre construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitive and reliable pricing.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, benchmarks, and historical data for future reference.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within project estimates and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Present cost estimates and reports to senior management and clients, ensuring clarity and transparency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and advancements in data centre construction technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in data centre or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional certifications in cost estimation or project management are a plus.

Day-to-Day

• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and meetings with stakeholders to gather project-specific information.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to source accurate pricing for materials and services.
• Update and refine cost estimates as project details evolve.
• Provide support during project bidding and negotiation phases.
• Monitor project budgets and provide input on cost control measures.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, proposals, and related documentation.
