Job Title: Project Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Director to lead high-profile, multidisciplinary projects, with a primary focus on data centres. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with expertise in site development, planning and permitting, design, construction, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will oversee complex, full lifecycle projects by leveraging their technical knowledge in architectural, civil/structural, mechanical, or electrical fields and by driving exemplary performance in schedule, cost, risk, and budget management.

Day-to-Day

• Oversee the full project lifecycle, covering all stages from site development, planning and permitting, design and construction, to successful delivery of data centre projects.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams comprised of engineers, designers, contractors, and stakeholders, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work culture.
• Develop and oversee project plans, ensuring timely execution and the achievement of high-quality outcomes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
• Identify and mitigate project risks proactively, maintaining project quality, adherence to timelines, and adherence to budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex, full lifecycle projects, including high-tech facilities such as data centres.
• Manage and monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet or exceed performance metrics.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to align technical requirements with construction and design outputs.
• Drive holistic solutions for challenges that arise during site development, planning and permitting, or design and construction phases of the project.
• Maintain regular reporting and updates for executive leadership and clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
• Cultivate and promote strong client relationships based on accountability, trust, and mutual agreement.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering (Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical), or related fields is required. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a strong advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, including a proven track record of delivering large-scale, full lifecycle construction or design projects, with data centre projects being a strong plus.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of architectural and/or engineering design principles, as well as construction methodologies and processes.
• Project Delivery Skills: Expertise in project scheduling, budget management, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement across all project stages, from site development to construction.
• Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated experience leading diverse high-performance teams and building an inclusive workplace culture.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to various audiences effectively.
• Technical Tools: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is desirable.
