Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive schedules for data center operations, including project timelines, maintenance activities, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure alignment on scheduling priorities and deadlines.
- Monitor and track progress against schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Analyze data to forecast resource needs and optimize scheduling efficiency.
- Communicate schedule updates and changes to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry standards in all scheduling activities.
- Provide regular reports and insights to management on scheduling performance and potential risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries and issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in scheduling, preferably within data center operations or a similar technical environment.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with data center operations, IT infrastructure, or related technical fields is a plus.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is desirable but not required.
Day-to-Day
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather scheduling requirements and updates.
- Update and maintain the master schedule, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct regular meetings to review schedules, address conflicts, and align on priorities.
- Analyze scheduling data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and distribute scheduling reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Respond promptly to scheduling inquiries and resolve conflicts as they arise.
- Continuously refine scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
