Responsibilities

As a Project Manager specializing in Data Center Electrical Construction, your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical construction projects for data centers, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.
• Overseeing procurement processes, including vendor selection and contract negotiations, to secure necessary materials and services.
• Monitoring project progress and addressing any issues or risks that may arise, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Preparing and presenting regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in electrical construction, preferably within the data center or mission-critical facilities sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in electrical construction.
• PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

Day-to-Day

On a typical day, you will:

• Conduct project kickoff meetings to align teams on goals and expectations.
• Review and update project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Facilitate team meetings to address challenges, provide updates, and maintain alignment.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and addressing any concerns.
