Overview
Are you a decisive leader with deep experience in data center construction and a passion for driving results?
A rapidly growing organization in the data center development space—is seeking a Vice President of Construction (Data Centers) | Northern Virginia to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of large-scale infrastructure projects across Northern Virginia. This individual will partner closely with senior leadership to remove roadblocks, lead cross-functional initiatives, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across the region.
Responsibilities
- Partner with regional and senior leadership to drive strategic direction and daily operations
- Oversee and update project budget templates and assist in transitioning to more robust platforms (e.g., Procore)
- Lead GC/vendor selection, contract negotiation, and schedule oversight
- Own and deliver timely, detailed reporting to executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Champion a collaborative, safety-first culture across internal teams and trade partners
- Provide executive-level guidance throughout design, entitlement, permitting, and construction phases
- Manage relationships with clients, funding partners, and cross-functional departments
- Develop, mentor, and grow a high-performing construction team in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years in large-scale data center construction is essential!
- Proven success in regional leadership roles with team management responsibilities
- Client-facing experience with excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Deep knowledge of construction processes (budgets, AIA contracts, lien releases, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred
