Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CSA Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering and a strong understanding of construction costs and contracts. As a CSA Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for accurately estimating quantities and costs of construction materials and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate cost estimates for civil, structural, and architectural elements of construction projects
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to review design plans and specifications
- Analyze and evaluate construction contracts and change orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Monitor project progress and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders
- Assist in negotiating and resolving disputes related to project costs and budgets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a quantity surveyor in construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and procurement processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software and tools
Day-to-day
As a CSA Quantity Surveyor, you will spend your days collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing design plans, performing cost analysis, and communicating with various project stakeholders. Your work will involve a combination of on-site inspections, office-based computations, and regular meetings to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects.
