Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Manager specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for data centre projects. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met throughout the lifecycle of our data centre projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in quality assurance and control, coupled with a deep understanding of MEP systems within the data centre environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for data centre projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and material submittals.
- Monitor and report on the performance of QA/QC processes, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous quality enhancement.
- Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Manager, preferably within data centre or MEP-focused projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and relevant industry standards.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications in quality management or MEP systems are highly desirable.
Day-to-Day
- Oversee daily QA/QC activities on-site, ensuring all work adheres to the approved quality standards.
- Conduct inspections and tests on MEP installations, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Attend project meetings to provide updates on quality performance and address any concerns.
- Support the project team in resolving technical and quality-related challenges.
- Prepare and submit detailed quality reports to project stakeholders.
