Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures tailored to the data centre environment.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific safety regulations.
• Oversee construction safety protocols during ongoing projects, ensuring all contractors and personnel adhere to established guidelines.
• Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on health and safety best practices, including emergency response procedures.
• Investigate and report on workplace incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into all operational and construction activities.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in health and safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring the organisation remains compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or CSP are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in health and safety management, particularly in construction or data centre environments.
• Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Day-to-Day
