Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MEP Superintendent to join our team specializing in Data Centre Project & Construction Management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within mission-critical data centre environments. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in managing large-scale construction projects, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of MEP systems installation and commissioning for data centre construction projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that MEP milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MEP systems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Lead and mentor on-site teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven track record of managing MEP systems for large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and plumbing.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP, or similar) are a plus.

Day-to-Day

• Lead daily site meetings to coordinate activities and address any immediate concerns.
• Monitor the progress of MEP installations, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to address technical challenges and implement solutions.
• Conduct safety audits and enforce compliance with all safety regulations.
• Review and approve work completed by subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports to project stakeholders.
• Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to on-site teams as needed.
