Senior Plumbing Engineer - Baltimore, MD OR Northfolk, VA

Overview

Top MEP firm seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to join their team. This position involves performing and directing reporting of existing conditions and construction progress, collecting and assembling complex project data, project design, and preparation of project documents. The Senior Plumbing Engineer will work closely with internal and external clients, and be responsible for shop drawings reviews, project budgeting, and contributing to business development.

Responsibilities

• Perform and direct reporting of existing conditions and construction progress
• Collect and assemble complex project data
• Perform and direct project design, including engineering calculations and using computer design software
• Prepare complex project documents including specifications and bid documents
• Review and mark up full plan sets, ensuring clarity and thorough representation of design intent
• Understand and improve customer service, and communicate externally with clients, officials, and contractors
• Prepare reports, studies, and proposals
• Review shop drawings for compliance with bid documents
• Participate in project budgeting and monitoring
• Contribute to business development by following up on leads and maintaining client relations

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree and P.E. license
• 10+ years of design experience or equivalent combination of design experience and undergraduate level education

Day-to-day

• Sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods
• Lift up to 15 pounds at times
