Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager or Project Director to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile construction and fit-out projects within the Data Centre industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with expertise in mechanical or electrical systems and exposure to full spectrum MEP/CSA construction projects, and installation/fit-out projects.

Day-to-day

As the Senior Project Manager / Project Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of project managers and supporting staff, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic guidance, risk assessment, and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will involve overseeing multiple projects, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project management team, providing guidance and mentorship
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Data Centre construction and fit-out projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and requirements
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing potential issues or delays
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
• Provide regular reports and updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Mitigate risks and resolve project-related challenges in a timely and effective manner

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Project Director within the Data Centre industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems and exposure to full spectrum MEP/CSA construction projects
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• PMP or other relevant certification is a plus
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management
