Responsibilities

As a Sr. Preconstruction Manager, you will:

  • Lead preconstruction efforts for mission-critical and data center projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive preconstruction plans.
  • Oversee cost estimation, value engineering, and risk management processes.
  • Provide technical expertise in the planning and design phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, including bid solicitation and evaluation.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, budgets, and schedules to stakeholders.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience in mission-critical and data center projects (semiconductor, power, or EV battery plant experience is also acceptable).
  • A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience in preconstruction or cost management.
  • Strong expertise in cost estimation, value engineering, and project planning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A calm, composed, and professional demeanor, aligning with our company culture.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Day-to-Day

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with project teams to develop and refine preconstruction strategies.
  • Conducting detailed cost analyses and preparing accurate budgets.
  • Reviewing project designs and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities for value engineering.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
  • Attending bi-weekly site visits to data centers (minimal travel required).
  • Communicating progress and updates to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
